Haryana Government and Private educational Institutions Closed on 16 August

The Haryana government announced on Tuesday (August 15) that all state-run and private schools will remain closed today (August 16) due to the Independence Day celebration event. As a result of the Independence Day event held yesterday, both private and government schools were granted a holiday.

The Haryana Education Department issued orders to all district education officers and district elementary education officers regarding this matter.

The notification states, ‘On the subject mentioned above, due to the Independence Day celebration on 15.08.2023, all state-run and private schools in the state will remain closed on 16.08.2023.’ Kindly ensure strict compliance with the order.

India celebrated the completion of 76 years of independence this year on Tuesday. The occasion was commemorated as part of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark the 76th year of freedom. This year’s Independence Day marked the culmination of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ which Prime Minister Modi inaugurated on March 12, 2021, from the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and led the nation into the ‘Amrit Kaal’ (Era of Freedom).
